News Flash Z
ZZZZZZOk people there is some good news and some good news. Every one remembers Napster, right? Those people that gave us music for free and when they got into trouble we turned away and started using WinMX, RIGHT? Well if you dont then you probably wont want to continue reading, or maybe you should?
Today (11th Aug 2001) Judge Marilyn Hall Patel came to Napsters aid when he said this "Looks Bad". Well what he was referring to was the fact that the music industry has banned together in an unprecedented move, combining there resources to conquer the online file swapping world with there own PAYDL (Pay as you Download) internet service "MusicNet", (Judge, your my hero)
Basically the Judge thought that the companies did not have enough evidence to send Napster down in one final flaming blow, which would of resulted in a multi-million dollar suit being collected. Furthering their own greed in this way has angered the more venturesome of the Judges. And remember the Judge said, "I AM THE LAW".
"The tactic Napster has taken is to throw everything up against the wall in order to stall a summary judgement," growled Russell Frackman, a bold brave lawyer for the record labels. He later ran away when he heard Judge Martilyn was leaving the building.
Well either way people, we have had a taste of free music and none of us really want to give that up (even if MP3's are naff any way). We will not stand for this "MusicNet". We will "Fight them in the Sky's, we will fight them on the beaches and most importantly of all we will fight them from afar". "See ya later"
