Oh man

Well things did not happen yesterday, I was out of town. So here is the news for today 19/10/01. Teen diva Britney Spears will sign up with AOL Time Warner through a strategy designed to (annoy, piss off) and promote the artist across AOL. Nice one AOL, you have done it now, Connie was bad enough, but Britney as well!

AOL's 31 million members (who I am one I might add) will get exclusive online activities such as exclusive chats with the pop star, access to music and videos, as well as concert promotions with Spears (that’s just what I have always wanted).

Every copy of Spear's upcoming album will come with the latest version of AOL software (well that’ll increase sales of the album).

The AOL service will become the online home for Britney, who records for Jive Records, and her fans. The Internet service's members will have first crack at Spears (I can’t believe I said that) tickets.

"We are in the midst of transforming the online music experience for consumers, and this relationship between America Online and Britney Spears truly speaks to the Internet's ability to reinvent the way that music is marketed," giggled Barry Schuler like a school girl, Chairman and CEO of America Online.

Well this news has made my day. Listen AOL, you should be concentrating on providing a decent fast service and stopping my account password from changing. Every week it seems to be different, I then have to phone you up and listen to Connie whittle on to get my password working again. (Grumble, grumble grumble).
