J Ain't life worth living? J
Hi entertainment fans, the weekend is over and so the hangover begins. We here at EJ's are planning some major updates to the site very soon. So here is some news... come on... you know you want it!
R.E.M graced its Athens hometown this Sunday with the band's first concert appearance there in over 8 years. With a mere three-song performance, held at the steps of the Athens Clarke County Courthouse (everyone's favourite courthouse), came as part of Land Aid. This is a local festival that strives to improve the economic environment of Athens and its surrounding area.
Onto today's news. We have an update on the old Napster saga. You know that the big music giants wanted their little online download sites, well the good, all knowing, all seeing and generally analy retentive European Union says "NO". Here is a quote from a great layer who we all love and respect. "These record companies do not throw money into black holes and the commission fears that if they come together, it could make them into a cartel and make it virtually impossible for a rival model to compete." Well thanks Peter Alexiadis, you're the best European competition lawyer ever.
Ok, well that's it for now. The chat room shall be working in the next day or so and dont forget that there will be many more new and fantastic, umm, stuff on the way, Atom.
